– 2 cups crushed pretzels – 3/4 cup melted butter – 3 tbsp sugar – 8 oz cream cheese – 1 cup sugar – 8 oz whipped topping – 2 (3 oz) packages strawberry gelatin – 2 cups boiling water – 2 cups sliced strawberries
First, preheat the oven to 350°F. Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press into a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool.
In a bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping. Spread over the cooled pretzel crust evenly.
Be sure to spread the cream cheese mixture all the way to the edges to seal it. This helps prevent the gelatin layer from seeping through.
Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature before using it in the next step.
Once the gelatin is cool, add sliced strawberries. Gently pour this mixture over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
When the gelatin is fully set, slice and serve chilled. This dessert is perfect for potlucks, summer gatherings, or any sweet tooth craving.
