– 3 ripe bananas, mashed – 1/3 cup melted butter – 1/2 cup sugar – 1 egg, beaten – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1 tsp baking soda – Pinch of salt – 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas well using a fork until mostly smooth with a few small lumps.
Add melted butter to the mashed bananas and stir until fully combined and smooth.
Mix in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; stir well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture, then stir in the flour until everything is just combined.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips without overmixing, so the bread stays tender and moist.
Pour batter into the pan, bake for 50–60 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before slicing.
