– 1 cup water – 2 tbsp granulated sugar – 1/2 tsp salt – 2 tbsp unsalted butter – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 2 large eggs – Vegetable oil (for frying) – 1/2 cup sugar + 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
In a saucepan, heat 1 cup water, 2 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 tbsp butter. Bring to a boil, then stir in 1 cup flour until dough forms.
Let the dough cool for 5 minutes, then mix in 2 eggs one at a time until smooth. The dough should be thick but pipeable for frying.
Heat oil in a deep skillet to 375°F. Pipe dough into 4–6 inch strips using a star tip. Carefully drop into oil and fry until golden brown.
Remove churros with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Roll warm churros in a cinnamon-sugar mixture for the perfect sweet crunch.
Serve churros fresh and warm with chocolate dipping sauce or dulce de leche. Perfect for dessert, parties, or an indulgent snack!
