– 3 ripe bananas, mashed – 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter – 1/3 cup oil (vegetable or melted coconut) – 2/3 cup brown sugar – 2 large eggs – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 tsp baking soda – 1/2 tsp salt – 3/4 cup chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
Mash ripe bananas in a bowl. Add peanut butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and oil. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix just until no streaks remain. Do not overmix to keep your bread tender and soft.
Gently fold in chocolate chips for sweet, gooey bites in every slice. You can use semi-sweet, dark, or milk chocolate chips.
Pour batter into a greased or lined loaf pan. Smooth the top and sprinkle with extra chocolate chips for a bakery-style finish.
Bake at 350°F for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Slice and serve warm or at room temp. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze slices for a ready-to-go treat.
